I know, I know...

I am the WORST blogger : ( I apologize! I'm trying to enjoy every last moment with Keira before I return to work next week (June 3). And I am seriously going to guess that no one even comes here anymore because I barely ever post! I promise I will try to post more!

Well Keira is 11 weeks old and growing like a little weed. She is smiling constantly at us and I know how to make her smile too. It's the best feeling! We are getting ready for her baptism on Sunday and Mommy even got a new car : ) I can't tell you how wonderful it is to have 4 doors. So now hubby has my Accord Coupe : ) 

I really could not have asked for a better maternity leave. The weather in Chicago this March, April, and May, has really been amazing and I am so glad! It's been great to be able to get out with a new baby instead of being couped up in the house like if it were winter! We have spent a lot of time out on the patio and Keira loves it. She is either sleeping through the night for about 10 hours at a time! OR getting up once, which I definitely cannot complain about. She has her moments in the evening where she SCREAMS a lot but we are trying new techniques and it seems to be helping a bit. She is a real good and beautiful baby : )

2 months old!

I can't believe Keira is already 2 months old. Time is really flying! She is smiling at us and mostly sleeping through the night which is a big plus : ) I can't imagine our lives without her in it.

I'm returning to work part time on June 3 so I'm trying to start mentally preparing for that. It's gonna be so hard to be away from her for 10 hours a day 3 days a week : (

I'm so horrible at updating this blog so I will post a bunch of pictures now while I have the chance!

Happy Anniversary!

Today is mine and Kevin's 2nd Wedding Anniversary! Lastnight we celebrated with a wonderful Alaskan King Crab dinner while Keira was at his parents. It was delish!! I missed eating crab and lobster while pregnant so we had it planned for many months : ) Mmmmm!

I know, I know. I am the worst blogger in the history of blogging. I apologize, we are just so busy with our little darling who is almost 8 weeks old! I will try and post some more pictures of her this week.

Little Miss Keira is...

1 month old! Boy does time sure fly. She is doing really great and even surprised us a few days ago by sleeping for 10 hours straight! Of course Mommy awoke at 1 am freaking out but I was very glad that she pulled it off at such a young age : )  She hasn't done it since and seems to know to wake up more than usual when Mommy and Daddy have had a few beers with friends : )  It's amazing how much they change in such little time. That's why I take LOTS of pictures so I can remember what it was like to have a little tiny babe.

We're currently trying to figure out her baptism plans but other than that things are pretty steady. Oh..we did buy a 55 inch flat screen for the family room. It looks really nice and of course we are enjoying watching all of our sports on it!  Cubs opening day today : )  Lets go Cubs!

Happy Easter Everyone!

Happy Easter to all! Keira had a very nice 1st Easter : )  We had a delicious brunch at Kevin's Aunt & Uncle's house and then we had dinner over at my Mom's. So it was a busy day and well...she pretty much slept through most of it, but that's okay! She also got to meet many of her 2nd cousins/Great Aunt's/Great Uncles and Great Grandparents : )   She is really growing like a weed. I swear she is soooo much bigger and taller already : (  Its amazing in just 3 weeks, the beautiful bond we have made with her. I feel like i've known her for so long and everything is just wonderful. I love my time at home with her and am looking forward to her first smile/laugh/roll over : )  It's all gonna happen so soon, i can just tell! But it really is astonishing at how much they change and so fast!

2 weeks already?!

Yep its been 2 weeks since our little darling came into our lives! I just can't believe it. These past 2 weeks have flown and it actually makes me sad. Keira has been doing real good and we just love her so much!  She has gained 5 oz already so she is growing fast! Her belly button got a little infected so we are giving her meds. Poor little thing!

Kevin goes back to work on Monday for good so that will be quite an adjustment. But I had 2 days alone with her this week and am getting a routine going. Babies are A LOT of work! I also left her yesterday for the very first time for a few hours to get my hair done and I missed her a bunch!

A quick hello!

Hello everyone! Keira has been home with us now for almost 1 week! She is sleeping pretty well at night and sleeps a lot during the day. Her jaundice is getting better and she is back to her birth weight so she is eating enough : )  I think that has been Mommy's biggest fear. We even got to take her on her first walk as the weather was super nice : )

Our daughter has arrived!

Keira Ashley was born Thursday, March 11, 2010, at 8:58 PM. She was 7 lbs 12 oz 20 inches long.

We are so thrilled to have her here finally after 9 long months! She is a beautiful baby and we are adjusting well at home. It was the most amazing day of our lives! We could not be happier!!!

a Cinnabon!  Mmmmmm...I just devoured one after I already had eaten a big lunch. It was the most magnificent thing ever. And I ate every little teeny weeny scrapling and don't feel bad about it one bit! 

I was supposed to be going to the mall to walk and try and get this baby out...but I ended up in the food court for my entire lunch hour ::wink::

Well we are 6 days away from our baby girl's due date and are just so excited to meet her! Its hard to wrap my head around the fact that i'll be holding her in my arms soon rather than feeling her every movement in my belly : )  There will be so many things that I will miss about being pregnant with her, but i want her here more! We are showing some progress per the doctor, so we are expecting her at any time!
